What is an infographic? If you don't know, go look it up. Read about it and then in your own words tell me what an infographic is. What do infographics do? How do they work? What makes a really good infographic?

Infographic is a visual image that is a diagram or chart that represents information of data. They are easier to understand and people use them because they go faster. It shows how something can change over time and the pattern it does. A good infographic focus on one topic and has a lot of good information. They work because you look at them and you can read information faster.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!

This weekend, I didn't attend homecoming. I didn't go because there was a lot of people and I couldn't find a good dress. Saturday night, I was with my friend and we went to dinner and got our nails done. I had a lot of fun with her because we don't get to hangout a lot. After we came back to her house after we went to dinner, we went to surprise Mary right before her date came over because we knew she was really nervous. When we got to her house, she was so excited to see us. She was so happy we came to support her. Although I didn't go to homecoming, I had a fun time with my friend.

Imagine Mr. Bacon has asked you to suggest one way of improving Blue Valley High School to make it a better place for students. Think about the changes that are needed at your school. Pick one change you feel would really make a difference and explain what it is and why you'd make the change.

I think an improvement we could accomplish for Blue Valley High School to make it a better place is a student tracker. When a student isn't in class, you can see where that person is. It would make a difference because every student would get a better education and do better in class. When someone is missing you know where they will be so you will know if they are ditching, or just with another teacher. I think this will be a huge part of making our school a better, safer place for students and parents.

What are your favorite apps on your phone or tablet? Why?

My favorite apps on my phone is Twitter. I like twitter because you can tweet what your feeling and you can see whats going on around you. Also, I like Snapchat because its a fun way to communicate with my friends. I like to make cool faces and send them what I am doing at the moment. Lastly, I love vine because whenever I'm in a bad mood, vine will make me laugh and make me smile witch helps me out of a bad mood.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"?

E-mail is a source that you can communicate with people. I use e-mail with people that I work with for church, or my teacher when I need help. When people use e-mail, they don't want to give people their phone number. I give pout my phone number to my friends and family but if I don't know someone that well and I have to communicate with them about something I will use e-mail. I know that e-mail etiquette is just like table etiquette that you use at the dinner table. In an e-mail you have to use a greeting and closing. Make sure you use your manners and nice words because an e-mail is there forever!

Now that you've been in Emerging Technology for several weeks... what do you think? Do you think the web tools (Drive, Evernote, Bubbl, etc.) are helpful to you? Do you think they will be helpful throughout high school or even college? Explain

Emerging Technology is a very helpful class. With all the tools we use, I think it will help for a long time and keep me organised through my school years. Sometimes it is hard to understand how to use the tools, but once we understand how, it is very helpful to organize me papers and ideas. I think I will use all of the tools used in this class through the rest of the years I am in school.

Do you enjoy writing? When do you enjoy it? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why do you think the ability to write is so important no matter what kind of writing it is? Give an example that you enjoyed writing or hated writing. Why?

I sometimes like writing, I think when i have something good to write about I like it. I like writing about my life and things that I have done. Writing is a very important part of your life, you have to write for almost every single class you have. You have to make papers sound good and flaunt; not choppy and boring. If you don't write about something exciting, no one will want to keep reading. I like to write when I'm not forced, usually when I'm forced to write about something I don't like or don't know anything about my story is really choppy and boring, I love to write when I get to pick what I'm going to write so I can make it interesting and engaging to keep on reading.

Benjamin Franklin is telling you that if you don't get ready and have your supplies then you will not succeed. This has happened to almost everyone before, and you will learn from it once it does. This happened to me when I was in Honors Biology, I wasn't prepared and didn't have anything for my test and I didn't start studying until the night before. The next day, I took the test and failed it. Then I have realized that next time, I should start studying a few days before the test because I just set myself up to fail when I tried studying, and knowing everything in one night.

What did you do this weekend? Share pictures if you have them!

This weekend was really fun! Friday night, I went to the BV game against West, and we pounded them. Then after the game, my volleyball team had our team sleepover. The sleepover was really fun. We talked and had lots of fun, it was amazing. The next day, I went to the Royals game with my family. We won! This weekend was amazing and I hope next weekend is just as fun!

What is the importance of research? Why do you need to know how to research? What have you learned in high school about researching topics and finding quality resources? Have you had a helpful teacher that has taught you to research? Explain.

The importance of researching is simply that you can find the right answer of what you need to know. I have learned to find search words to help you find  similar ideas that go with your topic. Also, i have learned to brainstorm questions before you research your topic. The teacher that taught me how to research was Ms. Edwards and Mrs. Scheuerman. I fins this helpful because now I can research anything I need, for any class.
